Our mission is to become the number one site on the web for honest, current, and important information regarding training, nutrition, sports medicine, and major health concerns. What separates this site from the rest?

It is Dr. Lee Mancini’s unique background. He is board certified in sports medicine, board certified in family practice, and certified as both a strength and conditioning specialist and sports nutritionist. Check out both his CV and his Bio. Here you have all the resources combined into one person: someone who can design a training and nutrition program with the multiple goals of improving athletic or aesthetic performance, preventing or recovering from injury, and promoting future health and vitality! Our site offers some amazing training and nutrition consultations as well. Our site offers paid services for athletes of any age looking to excel in their sport, patients rehabbing from an injury looking to get back to an active lifestyle, or anyone simply trying to lose some extra body fat or be a little healthier.

The Doctor of Fitness Team sends out a FREE bimonthly e-newsletter as well. In our Question and Answer section, you can submit your own questions – on health, sports medicine, nutrition, or training. Dr. Mancini answers these questions, and they are posted in our newsletter.

On this site you will notice areas devoted to sports medicine – where topics from concussions to sports supplements will be discussed. This content will prove useful to parents, coaches, trainers, physicians, and the athletes themselves. Some health and nutrition sites may post articles by “so-called experts,” but without any hard evidence or proof for their beliefs. Here we strive not only to give you up to date information, but also to quote publications, journal articles, and primary sources to back up our writings. Dr. Mancini has made these articles free and easily accessible to read and discuss.

There will also be sections on exercise and nutrition. Here we will have articles for all levels of fitness enthusiasts, from the person just starting on a first time exercise program to a seasoned athlete. The exercise area will have writings on body composition changes, on how to gain muscle mass, on training theory, and on a wide range of strength and conditioning programs. We will cover strength, endurance, speed, and flexibility topics. For nutrition, there will be pieces relevant to the pediatric population, to sports nutrition performance, to fat loss, to analyzing the latest diet crazes, and beyond.

Many health and nutrition sites are merely avenues for “so-called experts” to try and push the latest, greatest supplements on the consumer. They claim that supplements x, y, and z will give the sun, the moon, and the stars, when in reality they will do nothing more than lighten your wallet of your hard-earned money. Instead, here you will find us reviewing supplements honestly by examining what the evidence shows and providing sources to back up the facts. If a supplement has benefits we will back it up with facts. We will post a brief bio as well as a comprehensive CV for any of our experts who contribute articles to this site!
